About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • Ribeye steak

  • 1 tablespoon of Flake's Dry Rub

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

Instructions

Flake's Dry Rub Ribeye

1. Gather ingredients

2. Season the ribeye on both sides with Flake's Dry Rub. Let the ribeye rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

3. In a large, well-seasoned cast-iron skillet heat olive oil over high heat until shimmering. Add the ribeye and cook until you get desired crust.

4. Turn the ribeye over then add the butter. Continue to cook on high heat until the ribeye is at desired doneness. For a rare ribeye, cook for about 3 minutes a side; cook for 5 to 7 minutes a side for medium rare or medium.

5. Remove ribeye from the skillet to a cutting board and allow to rest for 7 to 10 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain and serve or plate the whole ribeye and serve.
